The play started with the 25 hour play-writing competition at the 2013 Toronto Fringe Festival. It was meant to be something I tried for fun, a neat writing challenge, then somehow I won. And they did a public reading directed by a real director with a real cast.
That was such a fun experience, I learned so much working with these people, and everyone involved with the Fringe Festival was incredible, but then what do I do next?
Well I wrote it in 24 hours, it had a pretty good start and was pretty funny but it needed work… months and months of work.
But I did it! And by did it I mean I’ll probably do some more rewrites.
We got a crew together. We held auditions. We cast it. We had a read through.
We started rehearsals.
We’ve even had a photo shoot.
There is still a lot of work left ahead of us but it’s coming together so well.
